Macquarie University has agreed to a range of its courses being offered through Sydney Institute of Business and Technology (SIBT) using its facilities on campus. This relationship represents an extraordinary opportunity for students to study at one of the most attractive university locations in Australia. The campus is located in the heart of north-western Sydney, adjacent to a large technology park in a green, spacious environment.

Throughout its history Macquarie has offered an undergraduate education characterised by breadth and flexibility as well as academic excellence. This tradition is strengthened through the relationship with Sydney Institute of Business and Technology. Macquarie graduates are expected to display imagination, intellectual discipline and flexibility and these aims are consistent with those of SIBT.

A SAIBT Diploma in Business or Diploma in Computing and Information Technology is a nationally recognised qualification. Successful completion of a SAIBT Diploma guarantees entry into second year of any of the bachelor degrees in Business or Computing and Information Technology at the University of South Australia.

The association between the two institutions is designed primarily to offer eligible students an alternative pathway to university studies with Advanced Standing status. Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses are approved and monitored by the University. The University is represented on the Academic Committee of Sydney Institute of Business and Technology and takes an active part in course development and program evaluation.
