About MIBT
Melbourne Institute of Business and Technology (MIBT) is a modern and dynamic educational institution providing high quality courses in an environment which encourages students to achieve excellence in their studies. MIBT provides Certificate and diploma courses in the areas of business/commerce, information technology/computing and mass communication to both Australian and International students. These courses are offered in association with Deakin University and are recognised by many other well-known university throughout Australia for entry with advanced standing.
MIBT Advantages
MIBT is located on Deakin University's Toorak campus in Melbourne. As a MIBT student you have access to the full range of services and facilities available on the campus including library, cafeteria, student resource centre, computer laboratories and sporting and recreational facilities.
Holmesglen's state-of-the-art Information Commons was opened in February 2000 and provides students with a library, conference rooms and classroom, and a central pit containing 200 computers. The library contains a wide range of books, journals, videos, and audio-cassettes and the computer enables students to increase their knowledge of the latest technology through access to the internet.
Pre-University
MIBT offers a Certificate IV in University foundation Studies Course in the following streams:
- Business
- Information Technology
- Mass Communication
The foundation studies Certificate course is equivalent to upper secondary school (Year 12) and other university foundation programs and is designed to prepare you for further study in the MIBT Diploma courses as well as providing relevant qualifications for employment purposes.

MIBT has excellent facilities on campus, offering students recreational facilities, well-equipped computer laboratories cafeteria ,bookshop, library and photocopying access. There are barbecue facilities fro you to use for social activities and if you drive there is ample car parking available on campus.
