Introduction

Buckley Park College is a coeducational college. The college is set in attractive gardens in a residential area of Essendon - a suburb in close proximity by good public transport, to the centre of Melbourne.

In an environment that is safe, caring and positive, the College's professional and dedicated teachers are committed to offering support for individuals while challenging all students to take responsibility and achieve their highest level of learning excellence.

The senior school curriculum includes a wide range of studies designed to meet and maximise the variety of further tertiary study and vocational needs of each student.

The College is known for the quality of its educational programs, which is reflected in its excellent VCE results. Over 95 per cent of students pass their VCE and gain places of their choice in universities and TAFE colleges.

2001 VCE Results and Year 12 Student University / TAFE Placements

  • 100 per cent Year 12 students successfully completed their VCE - 13 per cent achieved a score above 80, 25 per cent scored above 75
  • 85 per cent of students applying for tertiary placements and 90 per cent have received offers from Victorian universities and TAFE institutes, such as the University of Melbourne, RMIT, La Trobe University and Victoria University of Technology
